Purpose

The organized unit of United Women in Faith shall be a community of women whose purpose is:

  • To know God.
  • To experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ.
  • To develop a creative and supportive fellowship.
  • To expand concepts of mission through participation in global ministries of the church.

UMW provides an opportunity for women of all ages to learn more about worldwide missions while making friendships in a small group setting. Each year the UMW help many charitable organizations locally, nationally and internationally by volunteering their time contributing needed items and raising money.

Some of the organizations the Warwood UMW have made donations to in the past include The House of the Carpenter, YWCA Domestic Violence Program, West Liberty State College Campus Ministry Program, Faith in Action Caregivers, Russian Orphanage VIM, Prison Felloship Ministry, Katrina Flood Relief, Nothing But Nets and Shop With a Cop.

Membership

Becoming a member of UMW involves commitment to the field of mission. Your presence is the most important thing! Being a part of the whole increases UMW’s ability to make a difference in the lives of people locally, nationally and globally.

The Warwood UMW meet at 6:30 PM monthly on the second Tuesday of each month from September through May.
